Why You’ll Love This Apple Cider Donut Cake
It’s the perfect time of year to head out to your local orchard and while you are there, grab some apple cider for this cake! It’s easy to make and has a great flavor and texture. We love the cinnamon sugar topping or you could easily add powdered sugar or butterscotch sauce (linked below). It’s the perfect Fall cake!
Swaps or Additions
If you can’t find apple cider, you can easily use apple juice. It won’t be as strong, but it will still be delicious. We have made it both ways and enjoyed each. If you want to make this sugar free, read some of the comments below!
Tips
Some people say removing this cake from the bundt pan is difficult; we have never had that issue. As you can see from the photos, the cake looks fine, and it came right out. We let it cool for about 10 minutes, then remove it. We also use Baker’s Joy Spray on our Bundt pans, and we think it works really well. You definitely want to really grease your bundt pan if it isnt seasoned.

Apple Cider Donut Cake
This delicious cake is super easy to make and has a wonderful taste. You will want to take this to any Fall gathering!
- 1/2 cup of butter melted
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of cloves
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 cup of apple cider
Topping Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of granulate sugar
- 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together, melted butter and sugar once mixed add the rest of the ingredients and mix with a mixer until full mixed. The mixture was runny until you get it all mixed together.
Grease bundt pan. Pour mix evenly into bundt pan and cook for 35-38 minutes. Baking time may vary depending on oven. Mine was done at 35 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes and then remove from pan.
Mix cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle on warm cake. I actually bought cinnamon sugar already mixed (in the spice section) so I could easily shake it on to the cake.
