Summer is not the season for complicated recipes and mile-long grocery lists. I want meals and snacks that are quick to throw together, use ingredients I probably already have, and still taste like I actually put some thought into them. These five-ingredient (or less) recipes prove you don’t need a packed pantry to make something fresh and flavorful.
1. Easy 5 Ingredient Baked Salmon
This is the recipe I turn to when I want something light, healthy, and seriously delicious without a lot of fuss. Dill, garlic, and lemon are a classic combination, and together they bring out the most amazing flavor in the fish. Just 5 ingredients and 20 minutes.
2. 5 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

These cookies are ridiculously good, and I can make a batch faster than I could ever get to the store and back. Five pantry staples are all it takes for a perfectly soft and chewy cookie every single time. Bonus: they’re naturally gluten-free, so everyone at the potluck can dig in.
3. Watermelon Slushy

When the summer heat is absolutely relentless, this is the first thing I blend up. Four ingredients and five minutes stand between you and the most refreshing icy drink of the season. Keep frozen watermelon cubes stashed in your freezer and you’re always just minutes away from pure, cold bliss.
4. 5 Ingredient Lemon Bars

5 ingredient lemon bars are proof that a handful of simple ingredients can still make an incredible dessert. Bright, buttery, and bursting with lemon flavor, they’re one of my favorite easy treats for spring and summer.
5. 5 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

5 ingredient chocolate mousse is one of those desserts that feels fancy without making you work for it. Rich, creamy, and ready with just a handful of ingredients, it’s perfect when you need an easy chocolate fix.
6. 5 Ingredient Homemade Chocolate Pudding

5 ingredient homemade chocolate pudding is one of those recipes that reminds me simple really can be better. Rich, silky, and made with pantry staples, it’s the kind of dessert that makes store-bought pudding an easy pass.
7. Classic Marshmallow Fruit Dip

Classic marshmallow fruit dip is one of my favorite shortcuts for turning a platter of fresh fruit into something everyone gets excited about. It comes together in minutes with just a few ingredients, and somehow the bowl is always empty by the end of the party.
8. Homemade Blueberry Syrup

Homemade blueberry syrup is one of those simple recipes that makes an ordinary breakfast feel like a treat. Bursting with real blueberry flavor, it’s perfect for drizzling over pancakes, waffles, French toast, or even a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
9. Homemade Strawberry Syrup

Homemade strawberry syrup is one of my favorite ways to make the most of sweet summer strawberries. Spoon it over pancakes, ice cream, cheesecake, or fresh fruit, and suddenly an ordinary dessert feels a whole lot more exciting.

Sometimes the best recipes are the ones that don’t ask much from you. Fewer ingredients means less shopping, less prep, and more time to enjoy everything else summer has to offer. Whether you’re feeding your family after a busy day or pulling together a snack at the last minute, these simple recipes prove that delicious doesn’t have to be complicated.
