Xiaomi’s AirPods Max Lookalike Brings 155h Battery And Great ANC For Less Than $60

Xiaomi‘s gaming sub-brand, Black Shark, has just introduced its latest over-ear wireless gaming headphones, the Fengming S1, in China. Priced at 379 yuan (~$53) and available on JD.com, the product is designed to blend premium aesthetics with gaming-focused performance. Its appearance closely resembles Apple’s AirPods Max but incorporates a number of specialized features aimed at gamers and heavy multimedia users.

At the heart of the Fengming S1 are 40mm dual-diaphragm dynamic drivers made from TPU composite and titanium-coated materials, engineered to deliver a balanced sound signature with powerful bass, clear mids, and crisp treble. The headset supports 3D spatial audio, creating a realistic 360-degree soundstage that enhances positional accuracy in games and immerses users in movies and music alike.

One of the standout features of the Fengming S1 is its active noise cancellation (ANC) capability, which can reduce background noise by up to -52dB. Complementing this, a five-microphone Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) system ensures clearer communication by filtering out ambient noise during voice calls. Together, these technologies promise a more focused listening and speaking experience, even in noisy environments.

Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 6.0, which improves transmission speed, stability, and energy efficiency. For gaming, the headphones feature a 60ms low-latency mode, minimizing audio delay during competitive matches. They also support dual-device pairing, enabling users to switch between a smartphone and a computer seamlessly. Additionally, a 1.2-meter wired cable is included for users who prefer or require a direct connection.

The Fengming S1 is powered by a 1000mAh battery, offering an impressive 155 hours of playback time with ANC off, or around 80 hours with ANC enabled. Charging is done via USB-C, taking approximately 2.2 hours for a full charge. Safety features include protection against overcharging, overheating, and short circuits, extending the headset’s durability and reliability.

Designed for long-term comfort, the S1 features a lightweight and ergonomic frame with soft protein-leather ear cushions and breathable mesh. The adjustable headband adapts automatically to various head sizes, while rotating earcups provide better fit and portability.

Available in Stardust Silver and Shadow Black, the Fengming S1 supports SBC and AAC codecs and is compatible with HSP, HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, and BLE Bluetooth profiles. For now, we still have no official statement about a global release.
