Listen to the ‘Tron: Ares’ Soundtrack the Way It’s Meant to Be Heard: On Tape

Along with the digital release of the Tron: Ares soundtrack, Nine Inch Nails is playing up the nostalgic music tech sensibilities of the franchise with its score on physical media.

Collectors will be able to snag not only multiple vinyl variants of the music from the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures release but also a special edition cassette tape, which, for us ’90s NIN fans, is how we first listened to the industrial rock act. The analog release will only be available through the Nine Inch Nails merch shop online. 

Take a look at the red tape and consider where in the garage or attic your Walkman might be because it’s time to dig it out.

Nine Inch Nails’ upcoming score for Tron: Ares is one we can’t wait to experience. It’s following up the incredible work Daft Punk did for Tron: Legacy so the bar, while high, is one we expect the musicians and seasoned soundtrack creators Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor to derezz.

The music of Tron: Ares will be released on September 19, with the cassette only available online here and Tron: Ares is set to be released in theaters on October 10.
