Last year was a pretty big one for Roku. The streaming giant released two brand-new streaming sticks — the Roku Streaming Stick and Roku Streaming Stick Plus — launched its first-ever projector in partnership with Aurzen, and rolled out some meaningful updates to Roku OS that improved the user interface and boosted performance. And, of course, throughout the year, Roku continued to expand its free ad-supported TV (FAST) service, The Roku Channel, with a steady stream of new channels.
Now, to kick off 2026, Roku is adding even more free channels to The Roku Channel. Six new additions have recently gone live, further growing Roku’s lineup of more than 500 free live TV channels (via Cord Cutter News). Each of the new channels offers something different, but one of the highlights is a dedicated 24/7 channel for the popular game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. You can learn more about all six of the new channels below.
Overtime: A channel made for sports fans, which includes coverage and analysis of professional sports, including basketball, football, soccer, and more.
My Wife & Kids: A channel dedicated to the family sitcom My Wife & Kids from the early 2000s.
The Virginian: Features episodes from the 1960s western series, The Virginian, set in 1890s Wyoming.
Raza Canal: A channel dedicated to Latino culture, featuring music, talk shows, and more Latino-focused programming.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Watch the popular game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire whenever you want on this 24/7 channel, where contestants answer challenging trivia questions to win up to a million dollars.
TV Amor: A channel dedicated to love stories, drama series, and telenovelas, most of which are in the Spanish language.
If you want to check out any of the free channels mentioned above, just head to the Live TV tab on your Roku TV or Roku streaming device, then search for them or browse the channel list. If you don’t have a Roku device, you can still watch all these free channels; you’ll just need to download The Roku Channel app on your smart TV or streaming device.
There are more free channels to watch beyond Roku
Plex has over 600 free live TV channels
If you’re looking for even more free live TV channels, there are plenty of other FAST apps worth checking out, including Pluto TV, Tubi, Fubo, and MyFree DirecTV. One slightly underrated option is Plex, which now offers more than 600 free TV channels and recently expanded its lineup to kick off 2026.
For anyone using a Google TV Streamer or a smart TV running Google TV, Google also expanded its free TV lineup with Google TV Freeplay this past December. The service now includes more than 250 free TV channels.
And while Amazon shut down its standalone FAST app, Amazon Freevee, last year, all of its content has since moved to Prime Video. That means you can still watch Freevee content on Prime Video for free with ads, even without a Prime subscription.
Lots of streaming services raised their prices last year — including Netflix, YouTube TV, HBO Max, Disney+, and more — so if you’re tired of the rising cost of streaming, FAST apps are a great way to access tons of content for free without your monthly bill going up. Personally, they’ve helped me cut back on the number of streaming services I’m subscribed to, and they might help you do the same.
